PERSONAL ORDER EVENT FUKUOKA-Vol.2-

In Report Vol. 2, we will bring you scenes from the Personal Order Event. The venue was Pinorso in Fukuoka. The salon space, attached to suit artisan Mr. Matsukuma's atelier, offered a comfortable atmosphere that was calm yet not overly formal. The absence of excessive decoration, combined with a clear sense of aesthetics, conveyed Mr. Matsukuma's character and his sincere approach to clothing.

Inside the salon, in addition to samples of YUKI SHIRAHAMA BOTTIER bespoke shoes, we also offered shoes from our ready-to-wear brand, AGOL. AGOL shoes were available not only for viewing but also for trying on for those interested, and could be purchased on the spot.
When trying on AGOL shoes, we frequently received comments like, "They feel lighter when I wear them than when I hold them." This isn't simply because they are lightweight. AGOL combines a soft insole with an outsole that isn't excessively soft.
The insole gently sinks in, allowing the sole of the foot to naturally settle into the shoe, providing stability. Meanwhile, the outsole maintains its shape firmly, reliably supporting and holding the foot. This balance creates a "surface" contact between the foot and the shoe, resulting in a sensation of lightness the moment they are worn.

The photos show the original silver buckles used for our bespoke shoes. The original sterling silver buckles used in YUKI SHIRAHAMA BOTTIER bespoke shoes are crafted by skilled silversmiths. Made from 925 sterling silver, you can choose between two types: the 'polished finish', which features a refined and plain look, and the 'hammered finish', where artisans manually hammer the metal to create a distinctive hammered pattern on each piece.
For the hammered finish, while there are methods to create a hammered-like texture through molding, this often results in rounded edges and less depth in the texture. By hand-hammering the metal, many facets are created on the surface, adding a three-dimensional quality to the material's expression. Furthermore, these buckles undergo a further antiquing process after hammering, which adds a deep hue.
One of the attractions of our bespoke service is the option to choose between enjoying the unique texture of the 'hammered finish' created by hand, or opting for the well-balanced, plain look of the 'polished finish'. At the order event, we provide a rich selection of samples beyond the buckles introduced here, allowing you to pick them up and choose your preference.

This concludes the report on our Personal Order Event in Fukuoka. The next event in Fukuoka is scheduled for around June. We sincerely thank everyone who visited despite the unfortunate bad weather on the day. We also extend our gratitude once again to Mr. Matsukuma for allowing us to use the venue.

YUKI SHIRAHAMA BOTTIER has been holding secret order events primarily in Tokyo and Fukuoka. Going forward, we plan to hold about three events annually in both Tokyo and Fukuoka. Schedules will be announced on our website as they become available, so please feel free to inquire via the contact form if you are interested.
Sharing not just the finished product but also the dialogue behind it is an important part of our bespoke philosophy. Through these events, YUKI SHIRAHAMA BOTTIER will continue to create shoes that perfectly fit each individual's attire.
